I was almost positive the ZETEC is designed to be a screamer in the high RPM's, which is why my low RPM's were raising a red flag to me. It does drive perfectly normal in the lower RPM's, like when shifting at about 3,000 RPM.
For the second generation Mondeo, the Zetec engine was replaced with 1.8 and 2.0 litre Mazda L engines, branded Duratec by Ford. The standard 2.5 L V6 engine was carried over, while a 3.0 L version was developed for the ST220 and higher trim models.

If they are making 500 n/a hp then it would be the some bat shit insane cams and insanely high compression. Like unheard of numbers for those.
