Gender:Male. Posted March 3, 2022. I think you might need to go to a Citroen dealer for a diagnostic check of the adblue system. I have read that particularly on the Cactus, they are prone to the pump system failing and it can cost quite a lot to fix. Have a look at this topic. I’ve been following this thread with interest. I don’t drive a Cactus, but my ‘65 Grand C4 Picasso has the same problem. Citroen initially offered to pay 25% of the £1377.59 cost for a new Ad-Blue tank. After emailing the CEO of Citroen that has now been increased to 67%. I’m not sure where they pluck their numbers from.Adding a 1.5L bottle is not enough. You need to add ~5L. The best way of doing it is to add a whole 10L container. (only £10- £12). The warning light should clear without needing to do anything, although it may take a day or two. The capacity of the tank is ~17L, and it lasts 10,000-12,000 miles, so your 1.5L would only last about 1000 miles.
